HAPPY EASTER CELEBRATIONS!

Did you know? The original concept of Easter for early Christian’s was to celebrate the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Good Friday is supposedly the day in history Jesus died on the cross and Easter Sunday is the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection.

Moreover Easter can be celebrated by everyone, similar to Christmas it is a holiday period that can be enjoyed by spending time with family, giving gifts to others and generally taking time off during the short holiday.

For early Christian believers, eggs (typically associated with Easter in this day) were used as a symbol of Jesus’ resurrection as a metaphor for ‘new life’. The concept of Easter eggs originally derived from ‘Pagans’ which was essentially borrowed by early Christian believers to remember and symbolise the idea of rebirth aligning to Jesus’ resurrection. Some early believers would paint eggs with colour to represent the blood of Jesus.

In today’s day Easter is a holiday celebration which is still celebrated by some Christian’s to commemorate Jesus’ sacrifice and being ‘born again’. During this time you might receive an Easter egg from a loved one!
